Clone Pikmin in Pikmin: Another Adventure are average Pikmin in the sense of stats, though they do have the ability to clone themselves. Using nectar, a Clone Pikmin can create up to four fake duplicates of itself. The four fake clones will disappear if the original one moves too far away, gets eaten, or if it touches water. If a clone disappears, the original Clone Pikmin can drink more nectar to create another doppelganger.

Notes

Edward's notes

"Clone Pikmin have the ability to clone four more Pikmin, which is very helpful. Problem is that the clones can vanish if they aren't with the original one. Further research discovers that the clones are actually just nectar with DNA helping with the structure, which explains why they vanish instantly in water. They also need to be with the original one since they follow the shape of the original one with 80% accuracy."

Steward's notes

"Clone Pikmin can clone themselves! ...Okay, to be less direct, Clone Pikmin drink the nectar then use some for making the leaves into flowers and the rest to make the clones, which is just nectar with a little DNA just how Edward described it. They also seem to enjoy being with Winged Pikmin for whatever reason."

Olimar's notes

"Clone Pikmin are a new type of Pikmin I didn't know about, and the credit goes to Edward and Steward, though I made a discovery with the fact that Winged Pikmin have a relation with Clone Pikmin. Though not yet discovered, I hypothesis that it's because they used to be Winged Pikmin with a mutation allowing for very bad replication just like cell division. Maybe at one point, they lost their wings in exchange for better cloning?"

Clone Pikmin are the sixth Pikmin to be discovered in Pikmin: Treasure Colonization. They have a strange ability to create a duplicate of themselves, which can only be done if they are commanded to do a task. This includes from battle to building a bridge, and all in between. Depending on its level of maturity, a Clone Pikmin will create a certain amount of clones. If a Clone Pikmin is a leaf, it'll create one, if it has a bud, two, if it has a flower, three. However, if the Clone Pikmin is hit with ultra-sour sour spray, it will create four clones. If it is an ultra-spicy spray, then it'll make five clones instead. The clones are temporary, remaining until the original is whistled or killed, in which they'll turn into pollen and poof away. The clones can not be whistled. Their flower's petals have a red color to them. The original is made to be an average Pikmin, however, the clones have many resistances to make them more work efficient. If a clone is killed or disappears, it does not count to the Pikmin death total. Additional, the height of a Clone Pikmin is thirty-three millimeters, and the height of a clone is twenty-eight millimeters. When given ultra-sour spray, a Clone Pikmin can carry the weight of two Pikmin, and the clones can carry the weight of three.

Notes

Olimar's notes

"How fascinating, it turns out that the originals have the same markings as each other, while the clones have different types of markings not only from the original but other clones as well. They are also quite shorter than the originals. This may be due to it making it easier to distinguish which one is the original, and which one is a clone. Each time I am here on this planet, I always find a new creature that becomes an interest of mine to research. This planet truly is a place of mystery..."

Tang's notes

"For a minute, I'm just getting ready to attack a creature, and the next... POOF, there are more than I originally had! The creature in question is dead the next minute! I was astonished, I tell ya, it was amazing to see that happen... then the extra help disappears and I'm just at a loss of words. Like a thief in the shadows. Quite interesting, ain't it?"

Robin's notes

"One of the most efficient Pikmin, only beaten by Winged Pikmin! If only they could fly... sigh... but at least they're useful for most places still, so nothing to frown about. Maybe I'll try to see if I can make something cool for them to be able to fly! But then again, I don't know if jetpacks on something that will disappear is a good idea...I'll try anyway. Addendum: It wasn't a good idea."
