Older design
The Charging Eltak is an enemy introduced in Pikmin X: Deep Freeze. A red/orange creature covered in spines, the Charging Eltak is very aggressive, rushing blindly at whatever it sees. As it can't turn itself around while charging, it may seem easy to avoid, but it is very fast and also leaves behind a trail of fire. The spines prevent Pikmin from grabbing on and attacking, so the player must wait until the Eltak hits a wall and becomes stunned momentarily, retracting the spines and opening the opportunity for attack.
