Captain Bob is Olimar's cousin 27 times removed and the captain of the S.S. Goob. He has a wife named Barb and 3 children named John, Gabe, and Jesse. For work, Bob is a dog trainer on Gaia, under the employment of the Rescue Corps. Bob came to PNF-404 to save Olimar, as he is family, and like him, ended up crashlanding on his first visit to the planet. He found Blue Pikmin not long after. Bob hated Louie with a burning passion the first moment they met, and the two have been rivals ever since.
As for Bob's ship, the S.S. Goob, it is red with purple stripes. Notably, it has been on a mission to save Captain Ducky from Louie, who stole it in the first place, and return it to Captain Charlie. Its artificial intelligence is stronger than any before it.
