Brambles are an obstacle that appears as reddish-brown tendrils with orange thorns, generally in thick patches or wrapped around something. The primary obstacle of the Vengeful Thicket, the thorns make touching these harmful to almost all Pikmin, which will be flung back from the pain with their flowers reduced to mere leaves. The hard bodies of Rock Pikmin are immune to brambles and can safely traverse across bramble-covered floors. Leaders however cannot touch brambles and will steadily take damage from contact with them; though there is no suit upgrade that prevents bramble damage, the Metal Suit Z generally makes this hazard deal much less damage. Bramble walls also exist; unlike other brambles, these are made of a less fireproof variety that can be cleared by Pikmin carrying wickweeds.
