The Ornate Bulborb is a large grub-dog bearing stripes on its back, rather than dots. The Ornate Bulborb also bears a coloration similar to that of the Whiptongue Bulborb's. The Ornate Bulborb will roam an area much like a Spotty Bulbear, but rather than lumbering around, the Ornate Bulborb walks in a similar fashion to a Whiptongue Bulborb in that it walks at a fast, calculated pace. Also similar to the Whiptongue Bulborb in behavior, the Ornate Bulborb will occasionally sniff around. While doing so, if there are any leaders or Pikmin close enough, the Ornate Bulborb will begin walking closer to the position of the nearby group. In combat, the Ornate Bulborb is a very quick eater, being able to swallow Pikmin at twice the rate of a normal Red Bulborb. The easiest way to kill the Ornate Bulborb is by getting it to consume a bomb-rock. If taking the beast head-on, be aware that the Ornate Bulborb is very smart and resilient: if its eyes are attacked, it will turn its eyes away and shake the Pikmin off.
