The '''Mechaborb''' is a boss [[Grub-dog family|grub-dog]] in ''[[Pikmin: Revenge of the Darkfreeze]]''. It has the structural appearance of the standard [[Red Bulborb]] but is a metallic yellow color, and the rear has some plates missing, revealing wires and various organs, and a hatch on both sides of its body with a symbol on them. The Mechaborb attacks like a normal bulborb, but sometimes the hatches on its sides open and a machine pops out. The machine has a separate health wheel and produces a single [[Mechahop|Mechawog]] after some time. Similar to the Mechawog, the Mechaborb's armored body is too hard for normal [[Pikmin family|Pikmin]] to penetrate, but [[Purple Pikmin]] pounds can eventually tear apart the armor, allowing it to be attacked normally. The Mechaborb is a boss grub-dog in Pikmin: Revenge of the Darkfreeze. It has the structural appearance of the standard Red Bulborb but is a metallic yellow color, and the rear has some plates missing, revealing wires and various organs, and a hatch on both sides of its body with a symbol on them. The Mechaborb attacks like a normal bulborb, but sometimes the hatches on its sides open and a machine pops out. The machine has a separate health wheel and produces a single Mechawog after some time.
