The Malted Bulborb is a species of Bulborb appearing in Pikmin: Spark. They are medium-sized bulborbs that live in deserts, prairies, and other less hospitable environments. They get their names from their brown heads resembling the shade of caramel and light brown colored hide with dark brown spots. They like the Spotty Bulbear constantly patrol a territory awake and attack and eat anyone who comes near. However, due to their medium size, they hunt in packs scattered around the entire area they appear in. While a single Malted Bulborb is more than capable of becoming a dangerous predator, if they get into trouble they can roar to summon their pack mates to assist them in fighting a particularly dangerous prey. They often have disputes with Bulbears raiding any Dens containing them, which in turn is a great way to tell if a Bulbear is found in this den.
