Meadow of Memory is a dual expansion and game mode for Pikmin 2... Again?. It is unlocked after getting a 100% completion rate in story mode. It occurs after the events of Pikmin 3 in the Mystical World timeline. Meadow of Memory adds multiple new Pikmin types, enemies, obstacles, and more. One of its main additions was the Mutation Candypop Bud, and subspecies, altered Pikmin that will be used for multiple puzzles.
Plot
Summary
Pom ventures onto PNF-404 after Olimar seems to have gone missing there. She discovers that wither is expanding on the planet and fermenting into dangerously more toxic doom, infecting various creatures on the planet, and she must eliminate it.
Prologue
Pom is called by the President after Olimar goes missing on PNF-404 with no response even after sending multiple emails, and Pom agrees to find him personally. Pom then pilots the S.S. Memory to PNF-404, and a cloud of a mysterious mist is sucked into the spaceship, causing it to fail and crashland in the Terrain of Shine.
Terrain of Shine
Luckily, Pom survives the crash, but without her ship, which must be somewhere nearby. She is trapped due to a Stuffing Bulb, but she finds what will be a great help, the Red Pikmin. With them, she destroys the plant, granting access to the outside. Now in a more open world, she finds the Red Onion, but in an unreachable place. Fortunately, there is a Lift Bloom, which grows when water droplets fall on it, giving them access to the Red Onion. When Pom reaches the Red Onion, it activates, and Red Pikmin are formally discovered.
