The Sea Snagret is a fully aquatic snavian species in Pikmin Z that evolved to suit life in the sea. It resembles a typical Burrowing Snagret, having blue scales running along its body and a bird-like head, yet with a fin on the end of its tail resembling a shark's tail, and black rings running along its body. It only comes out after the gate to its arena is opened. As the parent to the Dwarf Sea Snagret, it can call upon its young to fight alongside it. It swims around the arena, occasionally swimming in to snatch Pikmin with its beak and eat them. Its diet consists of aquatic animals, and its predators are unknown.
In order to attack the Sea Snagret, it must be coaxed into charging into a wall, causing its beak to become stuck and opening it up to attack. Pikmin can only attack its head, as throwing them at the body will just bounce off. The boss has the ability to summon its young to aid it in battle. At half-health, the Sea Snagret will occasionally generate a whirlpool, which it generates by spinning rapidly and zooming by. Any Pikmin caught in the whirlpool will be vulnerable to either the Sea Snagret or the Dwarf Sea Snagret. Continue this method until the Sea Snagret falls.
