The Prickly Bubblehead is a large enemy in Pikmin X: Deep Freeze so named for its huge head, filled with stored water. When approached, the creature will begin to walk in circles around its target. The spiny parts of its body crackle with electricity; most Pikmin thrown at them will be stunned, and even Yellow Pikmin will simply bounce right off, so Pikmin must be aimed at the exposed light portions of its head in order to safely damage it. Every so often, the Prickly Bubblehead will open its three spiny sections like the petals of a flower and let loose a wide burst of electricity around itself, though this has both a charge-up that signals the attack and a long cooldown that leaves the creature's entire body open to thrown Pikmin. It will also grab nearby Pikmin stunned by electricity with its tentacles and eat them.
