Pikmin Alpha is a game on the 3DS. It's an alternate timeline than Pikmin 2 and 3. this game will feature downloadable content. Despite being an alternate timeline, Louie and the president appear.

Story

Olimar returns home and goes to his house to spend his last few days with his family. He ends up extending his vacation to write a report on the Pikmin Planet. When he goes to work, his boss is interested and decides to leave his wife in charge of Hocotate Freight, and research the Pikmin Planet. They modify the dolphin to have two cockpits, then set off.
