Pikmin 3: Parasite Epidemic is the third installment in the Pikmin series. Its gameplay is similar to that of Pikmin 1 and Pikmin 2.
Plot
After the Hocotate Freight is saved from their financial issue, Olimar continued working at the freight until he, along with Louie and the President, were arrested by the local authorities. They were informed of a new plague starting that is thought to have originated from the Pikmin planet. The President suddenly tells the authorities that they can find the cure. Later Olimar, along with Louie, is sent back to the planet to find a cure although they have no idea where or what the cure is.
