The branch-based hierarchy of the Guild of Bulborbs is simple yet effective. This page exists to detail each branch and its roles and responsibilities.
New recruits to the Guild of Bulborbs are called apprentices. They are mentored by their branch's more experienced members, masters, who have more duties than apprentices do and must be willing to guide and assist their apprentices. Masters must have one current apprentice at a minimum, although they may have several simultaneously. Apprentices and masters alike can vote on community-submitted proposals, and each vote holds equal weight.
Apprentices that qualify to become a master of their particular branch, have been part of it for two weeks' time, and are willing to undertake additional responsibilities may notify the Spotty Bulbear, the Guild's current leader, who will promote them and additionally present to them an updated Guild signature. Alternatively, someone an eligible user associates with may also notify the Spotty Bulbear of that user's qualifications.
Please note that the following ranks are the only ones legitimately recognized by the Guild of Bulborbs. Any user that claims to have a role other than those listed is merely joking.
Leader voting and absence
The current Spotty Bulbear can not, under any circumstances, determine who succeeds them as the leader of the Guild of Bulborbs; this task belongs to the community, who votes for suitable candidates when the time comes to select a new Spotty Bulbear. They may, however, change their Guild signature to reflect their position.
If the current Spotty Bulbear knowingly must become inactive for a reasonable span of time, they may select a master of their choice to temporarily give their powers, but not rank, until they return. Should the current Spotty Bulbear be offline for longer than ninety days, the elected master assumes the role of Spotty Bulbear. In the event the former Spotty Bulbear returns after this point, their rank is restored, and the substitute Spotty Bulbear is returned to their normal status.
If the current Spotty Bulbear steps down from their position or is declared permanently offline, a vote will be held to determine the next Spotty Bulbear. Masters can apply to be a candidate for the vote, and in doing so they must present their case for becoming the next Spotty Bulbear and a list of tasks they would accomplish while they occupied the position. Once at least a week has passed since users initially applied for the position, the vote is held. If two or more candidates have the same number of votes, all other candidates will be disqualified and the vote held again between those whose votes were tied. This process will repeat until one candidate comes out on top.
Ranks
Snow Bulborb
These users could be considered the welcoming committee of Pikmin Fanon. Their primary duties are to welcome and assist new users; as such, they will need to often access the new users log. They should also be willing to check the Ask Louie forum and answer questions posed there.
Apprentice
- Requirements
- Be leaf rank or higher;
- Know how to make internal and external links, create templates, format text, move pages, and the like;
- Be always ready to lend a hand and help new users;
- Treat all users fairly and equally without any favoritism.
Master
- Requirements
- Be bud rank or higher.
Guild signatures
Red Bulborb
These users are dedicated to improving the quality of articles. Among the duties of these users are improving low- or medium-quality articles, expanding stubs, linking orphaned pages, categorizing pages, and otherwise cleaning up the wiki.
Apprentice
- Requirements
- Be leaf rank or higher;
- Be able and willing to improve articles, rewriting them if necessary;
- Be willing to seek out stray articles.
Master
- Requirements
- Be bud rank or higher.
Guild signatures
Orange Bulborb
These users are ever vigilant for spamming, flaming, and vandalism. They should check the recent changes page often for suspicious edits and also monitor suspicious users for any bad conduct. They must also delete junk pages when they appear.
Apprentice
- Requirements
- Be bud ranked or higher;
- Be knowledgeable about revision history and recent changes pages;
- Have rollback rights and know how to use them.
Master
- Requirements
- Be flower rank or higher;
- Be an administrator, for page deletions.
Guild signatures
Spotty Bulbear
The head of the Guild of Bulborbs. They deal with important matters concerning the Guild; in-depth details are available here. Only one user may have this title, which has no respective apprentice position.
Requirements
- Be master flower rank or higher;
- Be an honest, well-respected administrator or bureaucrat;
- Have been a master in at least one branch.
