When we last left off; Pastmar was taken to Hocatate Freight and left Pikmar on the Pikmin Planet all alone.
Plot
Pikmar stares as Pastmar flies to Hocatate. Pastmar looks back. He sees the Pikmin, led by Pikmar, do the goodbye wave seen in Pikmin 1. Then, finally Pikmar waves goodbye then walks away, Pikmin and all. After this Pastmar engages the warp back to future Hocatate. *3 years after Hey Pikmin* Pikmar was walking along a small river looking for some food. Then, suddenly, a meteor as big as 2 moons crashed on the other side of the planet. Thousands of Pikmin and Onion races went extinct, forever. Pikmar ran to the damaged KaPossibleII he never checked on after 1 year ago. It was in bad shape, but Pastmar was able to use a team of Pikmin to reset the ship’s systems, then blasted off, with 2 Violet Candypop Bud seeds, 4 Ivory Candypop Bud seeds, 1 Rock Pikmin, 6 Winged Pikmin, 18 Red Pikmin, 61 Yellow Pikmin, and 3 Blue Pikmin. Also the Rock, Winged, Red, Yellow, and Blue Onions followed (previously unmerged) remerged into a single Onion. Pikmar then returns to the surface to see that there are radiation levels above 100. Pikmar wishes that Nuclear Pikmin and their Onion were not extinct. Pikmar then blasts off, and sleeps for the rest of the day.

Night 1
Pastmar wakes up to a stop of the engine. Knowing the KaPossible II is only 500 Meters above the surface of PNF-404, he quickly goes to the area the Pikmin are running. He finds 30 Yellow Pikmin unconscious, 1 Yellow Pikmin half-conscious, 30 Yellow Pikmin trying to complete the engine’s circuit, 1 Red Pikmin working in the engine itself, 17 Red Pikmin sleeping, and 6 Winged Pikmin lifting a lot of internal parts that fell out of place.
