In Pikmin: Redemption, the Phantom is the king of Waterwraiths, and the reason Cave of No Return got its name. It appears, alongside two Waterwraiths, in front of the geyser on the final sublevel of the cave, ready to thwart Louie and The President. The Phantom is a large Waterwraith that wears an Unspeakable Wonder on its head and lacks stone rollers. To defeat the Phantom, wait until it tries to body slam Pikmin in an attempt to crush them, and then rapidly throw Purple Pikmin onto the creature. Pikmin that touch the Phantom while its body is clear will be absorbed into the creature's body and heal a small portion of its health. Although the Phantom will not drop anything upon defeat, it will progress the main story; after leaving the Cave of No Return, the day will end, and on the world map, six new landing sites are available to use, four of them being optional subareas, and in the center of the map is a large glowing red, yellow, and orange orb, which is also important to the story.
