The Megamouth Terratoad is the singular member of a separate subspecies of amphituber appearing in Pikmin Z. Although a species of amphituber, it drastically changed to suit a more terrestrial lifestyle in contrast to the typical Wollywog. They aren't commonly found near water as they are able to survive further inland with its drier, water-retaining skin. It is an ambush predator, and hunts by burying itself and waiting for unsuspecting prey to venture too close, whereupon it launches itself from its hiding spot to snatch it in its large maw. The Megamouth Terratoad can not be harmed as long as it is buried. To force it to expose itself, it must be fooled into doing so by either luring another enemy to it or simply approaching it. At this point, it will be vulnerable to attack. Throw Pikmin onto it, but be warned that, after it shakes Pikmin off, it will attempt to crush them with its massive body. Its diet consists of small, ground-dwelling creatures, and its predators are unknown.
