Marching Bulblings are a species of grub-dog appearing in Pikmin: Spectrum. Like the Crystal-Shelled Bulbling, they are the same size as a dwarf bulborb but are considered true grub-dogs.

Marching Bulblings have pale red hides and gray stripe-like markings on their posteriors. They also have silver irises and cobalt blue pupils.

They dwell in groups of roughly seven members and are noted for their constant drive to be on the move and roam in a large territory. They have surprisingly fast movement and are noted to have a rapid and insatiable eating speed, giving them faster biting abilities than a standard bulborb. This, combined with their tendency to live in large groups, makes them formidable foes. As a strategy against them, it's best to stun them with the slams of a Purple Pikmin.

Notes

Olimar's notes

Having a higher metabolism than the normal bulborb, these creatures live in large packs so they can have advantages in speed and numbers. Due to their high metabolism, they have both incredible speed and insatiable hunger that makes them constantly on the move, making them nomadic predators.

Louie's cooking tips

Interestingly their internal organs can be marinated into a sweet, syrupy sauce. As long as the guests don't know, this ingredient can make a great sweetener.
