The Heavy Cutterbug is a warsect that appears in Pikmin 4: The World to Free. They are the only known warsect to have a weapon, in this case, a hammer, separate from their shells.

- “Interesting... another creature from the warsect family. Studies show that the hammer-like weapon attached to its shell is quite flexible. Why? There special muscles in its shell keeping it in place. I wonder why the common cutterbug doesn't have something like this for its weapon?”

- “Okay, I won't complain. They are ugly but not as bad as some that I've encountered. I feel bad saying this, but their faces kinda resemble my grandma's face. They are quite boring in nature, however... strange, with a quiet and grumpy nature. Actually, this creature is my grandma's spirit animal.”
