The Floundering Crass is a bass-like creature with a green body and a brown underbelly, appearing in Pikmin: Infinite Exploration. When a group of Pikmin are traveling on land around a pool inhabited by a Floundering Crass, the Floundering Crass will either spit large balls of water onto the group or jump out of the water and begin flopping around on the ground, planting any Pikmin caught underneath it. In the water, it will begin to stalk the group of Pikmin in a similar fashion similar to that of a Spotty Bulbear and it will eat one to five Pikmin at a time. When fighting a Floundering Crass, it's best to stay on land and wait until it jumps onto the land, then it should be attacked with a group of Winged Pikmin as they can attack it while it's up in the air as well as when it lands on the ground.

Notes

Olimar's notes

Unlike its smaller relative, the puckering blinnow, the floundering crass prefers solitude and is quite territorial. In the summer, female crass will swim upstream to lay their eggs.

Louie's notes

Grill until crispy and drench in your choice of lemon juice or vinegar, serve with a side of minced carrots.
