Attacks Eats Pikmin

The Dwarf Prince Bulblax is a member of the grub-dog family and the juvenile form of the Emperor Bulblax. It appears only in Pikmin: Spider Attack's Challenge Mode stage Bulblax Castle, on the final sublevel, where twelve of them are seen. Groups of Dwarf Prince Bulblaxes protect their elders while they sleep. When Pikmin or leaders approach, a Dwarf Prince Bulblax has a few attacks at its disposal to use against them. It can leap into the air above them and hover for a moment, much akin to a Wollywog's signature attack, but this attack can not crush Pikmin or leaders, merely knocking them away. If they persist, a Dwarf Prince Bulblax will attempt to eat them by pulling up to three Pikmin at once into its mouth using its tongue, which it swings after a short pause.

Dwarf Prince Bulblaxes have red eyes much like the Emperor Bulblax's, but proportional to their body. They have fangs, are missing the drooping cheeks, and have a mossy hide.

Because of its hide, which Pikmin bounce harmlessly off of, a Dwarf Prince Bulblax may only be attacked from the front. When the opportunity presents itself, such as when it pauses to lash its tongue out, throw Pikmin onto its face. Doing so will cause the creature to temporarily flip over, exposed to further attack, and throwing Pikmin directly onto it in this state will kill it quickly. While throwing Pikmin, be aware of other Dwarf Prince Bulblaxes to avoid attracting unwanted attention, and make sure no Pikmin accidentally awaken the Emperor Bulblax.
