Attacks | Charges at and eats Pikmin |
The Dopey Bulborb is a pretty standard bulborb except for the fact that it can charge at Pikmin quickly, eat a couple more Pikmin at once than a standard grub-dog, and will pursue them across the entirety of any location once detected. Its massive eyebrows block any Pikmin that are thrown at its eyes. After charging, the Dopey Bulborb will wipe the dirt out of its mouth, which will leave it temporarily immobilized and susceptible to attack.
Notes
Olimar's notes
- “The Dopey Bulborb is a peculiar variety of grub-dog that is exceedingly aggressive, even when compared to the Emperor Bulblax. Its large, razor-sharp teeth and severe underbite allow it to not only scoop many Pikmin into its mouth at a time but also dig into the ground. This allows for the Dopey Bulborb to charge across most terrain with relative ease, leaving its jaw in the ground to pick up anything it deems edible to be so unfortunate as to stand in its way. This charging does have its downsides, as this variety of grub-dog, as well as most creatures, find sediment to be rather unsavory, and therefore the Dopey Bulborb will take a moment to wipe its mouth out using its spindly legs, leaving it temporarily immobilized. Another ability of the Dopey Bulborb is its keen sense of smell, which allows it to track down prey along extremely large distances. Sadly, this ability isn't always put to good use, as the Dopey Bulborb tends to select one scent and track it down until it physically can't anymore. Finally, some of this grub-dog's more notable features are its bushy eyebrows and green coloration, with the eyebrows providing protection for the grub-dogs' famously sensitive eyes, and the green coloration providing camouflage in lush and wooded environments.”
Louie's notes
- “This beast's meat is very tough, without a very sophisticated taste, so it's not suited for a connoisseur such as myself, but I suppose it could be used as a cheap patty for fast food.”
