The Caustic Dirigibug is a relative of the Acidic Dirigibug and drops balls of water. Caustic Dirigibugs have blue bodies and air sacs, and red eyes. When approached by leaders or Pikmin, the Caustic Dirigibug will regurgitate a ball of water that is covered in a thin membrane and bursts upon impact with anything or any surface. Any Pikmin except Blue Pikmin that are in the vicinity of a water ball when it bursts will begin drowning and can be saved by whistling them. Caustic Dirigibugs can be attacked by any Pikmin type, but only Blue Pikmin will not drown due to their attacks.

In Pikoblitz: Raging Winds, Caustic Dirigibugs drops mine-rocks instead of balls of water.
