The Brambeetle is a scarab beetle enemy in Pikmin E: Remastered. It usually roams around in brambles, or areas heavy in them, and also usually leaves Pikmin and leaders alone. However, upon either being attacked or leaving the bramble thicket it resides in, it will cover itself with its shell, which is covered with spikes. At that point, the only way to attack it would be from the head, but then it can eat Pikmin. It is best to retreat for the time being and wait for it to feel safe and take off its shell. Upon destroying the thicket it resides in, it will either retreat to another nearby one, or dig into the ground, and never come back up.

- “Remove the shell, the spikes could be used as kabobs. This species is incredibly small, however, so upon removing all bodily organs, there is basically no meat left for consumption, just a flimsy shell of flesh. Even then, it tastes extremely bitter. Would not recommend.”

Brambeetles, in Pikmin X: Deep Freeze, are commonly seen crawling along the brambles covering the Vengeful Thicket. These small enemies travel in groups and generally leave Pikmin alone, but their paths will eventually cross at various points. Brambeetles encountered outside of the safety of their bramble habitats defend themselves by closing up their spiked shells around their vulnerable lower body and running at Pikmin in straight lines, trying to knock them over and reduce them to leaf-stage maturity. While this protects the sides of the Brambeetle from charging and swarming, it leaves the very middle of their shell bare, and a single Pikmin thrown directly on top will flip it over and leave it vulnerable to attack.
