The Winter Spornet is a fuzzbuzz found in the files of Hey! Pikmin. It is a small, insect-like creature that strongly resembles the Spornet but has a different antenna, head, body, and wing shape, as well as different coloration, being primarily blue in color, having yellow eyes, and having two yellow rings stretching around its body. It carries what appears to be a snowball at the underside of its body, and presumably would have either dropped it onto Pikmin and leaders or hovered above them, sprinkling snow onto them to slow them.

Attacks Drops snowballs

The Winter Spornet is a new enemy in Pikmin: Decayed Leaf. The creature looks like a typical Spornet but carries a relatively large snowball from its abdomen. It also has yellow eyes and a blue-striped body. The creature behaves like a Spornet, flying around in a set path until above Pikmin and leaders, whereupon will then drop its large snowball onto them. The snowball will regenerate on its abdomen after 20 seconds. If the ball hits the group, it will freeze any Pikmin near it. Ice Pikmin are immune to the snowball's effect, making them great against this creature. Fur Pikmin are only slowed down by the snowball. It only takes one Pikmin throw to kill it. However, it flies high enough to not be hit by any Pikmin but Yellow Pikmin and Winged Pikmin. When it performs its attack, it will weigh itself down a bit, letting other types have the chance to hit it.
