This creature is identical to the Armored Cannon Beetle except its eyes glow red instead of green. When it inhales air to spit out the boulder, the projectile it shoots is loaded with bomb-rocks, meaning that it will detonate upon contact with an object other than the ground (Pikmin are simply flattened, no explosion occurs if it hits them unless it hits another object afterwards- like a captain.) The boulders also roll much quicker at their targets than those of normal Armored Cannon Beetles. If you do manage to plug the air hole by throwing a Pikmin at the right time, the back will open up to attack. Just be wary of the numerous lit bomb-rocks the beetle scatters as it flees.
