This makes it possible to have templates in a user's signature. To use it, go to your preferences. In the nickname/signature field, copy the following code:

{{SUBST:nosubst|InsertTemplateNameHere}}

Example:

 {{SUBST:nosubst|User:Smiddle/sig}}

This can make your templated sig much easier to access, by just writing ~~~~. Just make sure to have the "treat signature as wikitext (without an automatic link)" checked.
