The Subterranean Bladebug is like a bladebug appearing in Pikoblitz. It is similar to the Burrowing Bladebug except it is faster, braver, has more health, and is overall stronger. The Subterranean Bladebug resembles a tan, real-world praying mantis with a yellow abdomen and the bladebug family's signature circle-shaped marking. As with other bladebugs, the only way to kill a Subterranean Bladebug is to throw Pikmin at its abdomen. It has a fifty-percent chance to deflower any Pikmin it shakes off and can leap high into the air to kill up to two Pikmin upon landing on them.

"Under close observation, this specimen of bladebug seems to be the complete opposite of its relative. It seems to be a daredevil, rushing at the face of danger rather than fleeing. Out of all of the bladebugs, I'd say this species amazes me the most."
