The Sickened Blowhog is a mutated variant form of the Puffy Blowhog that thrives as a species. It resembles a Puffy Blowhog, but only slightly. It is a dark purple, and it has two pairs of vestigial fins that simply hang off its swollen body. Its trunk is now a strange tentacle thing that really serves no purpose, other than to eat Pikmin with.
Instead of blowing air at the Pikmin, it will fly over them and drop bubbles of poison gas that spray outwards when they hit the ground. This is bad if you're not using a full team of White Pikmin to kill the ugly thing. When killed, it shrivels up, leaking out lots of poison and bodily fluids until it disappears. It makes sounds somewhat like a backwards broken trumpet.
In Pikmin: Shadows of the Future, they are faster and healthier because of the respiratory devices attached to their faces. In addition, they can also blow poison gas now because of the cyborg cannon under their snout.
