The Shimmering Seaside is the second area in Pikmin Eco, representing Summer time in the Planet of the Pikmin.

Layout

Compared to the other maps, this area has the most water as it's connected to the sea. Two lone islands sit out in the middle of the deep water, one fully made of sand and the other made of rock. Inland is the forested area of the map to the southeastern area, where two small rivers flow from inland out to the water. There is only one secret shallow cave, and two bridges; one wooden and one fragmented.

Aquatic Palace Water icon.png

The Aquatic Palace is located at the northwestern side of the map, on a sandy island out in the sea. Blue Pikmin are a recommendation for this cave, though getting to the island you'll only have Blue Pikmin (until after you unlock the Winged Pikmin). There's four sublevels, all of which beyond the first sublevel is underwater.

Illuminated Tunnels Fire icon.png

The Illuminated Tunnels is located on the eastern side of the map, hidden just within a shallow divot into the forest. It has four subleveles. Red Pikmin and Yellow Pikmin are recommended due to the types of enemies and hazards within it.

Bone Cove Water icon.png Explosion icon.png

Bone Cove is located within the southern side of the inland area of the map. This area requires Winged Pikmin in order to reach, as there is a river splitting between the cave and the player, with a hidden shallow cave just south of it. Due to the circumstances, only Winged Pikmin can be accompanied into the cave, despite Blue Pikmin and Rock Pikmin being recommended.

Sea Geyser Water icon.png

The Sea Geyser is a spout located just north of the map's center. It can only be ventured in from one side, and only Blue Pikmin and Winged Pikmin can accompany you into the cave. While the player can venture into it with Blue Pikmin only, some treasures can't be obtained without the Winged Pikmin.
