The Planetoid Long Legs is the boss of the Dark Forest Cave, located at the end of the Forest Depths, in Pikmin: Sinister Incinerator. It is an enormous yellow arachnorb that guards the fifth dark spore. Due to its sheer size, the Planetoid Long Legs' entire body cannot be seen at once. Its feet are the main focus of the fight against it, and its main body can be seen when phase one of the battle comes to an end.

The arena the Planetoid Long Legs is fought in is an extremely large chamber, accomodating the creature's immense size. A majority of the floor is covered in water so shallow that any Pikmin can walk in it. The feet of the Planetoid Long Legs are so large that they can easily crush an entire army of Pikmin in one step, but the creature's absurdly slow walking speed makes avoiding this catastrophe easy. Unlike with other arachnorbs, where its main body is its weakpoint, the Planetoid Long Legs's weakpoints are its feet, and each one has a separate health wheel. Pikmin can be thrown onto the feet to deplete their individual health pools. When destroyed, a foot will become lame and the creature will be forced to slowly drag it along the ground, rendering it harmless. The Planetoid Long Legs will fly into a short frenzy and move faster when this happens, however, but its lame foot will cause the tantrum to end prematurely.

After all four of its feet are incapacitated, the Planetoid Long Legs will lower its abdomen just above the ground, allowing it to be seen and opening it as if it had been defeated, releasing a Planetoid Turret contained within before rapidly deteriorating and disappearing like most other arachnorbs. When the Planetoid Turret is destroyed, it will leave the fifth Dark Spore in its fiery wake. The arena will fade to reveal a standard cave chamber containing an escape geyser with which to escape, revealing the room to have been a mere hallucination created by the Dark Spore.
