This is the boss of the Dark Forest Cave, located at the end of the Forest Depths. The arena is an insanely large puddle of extremely shallow water that any Pikmin can walk in. However, the boss is in plain sight, and it's huge. There's no way it'll ever fit on the screen at once! This is the final Arachnorb you must do battle with: the Planetoid Long Legs, the keeper of the fifth Dark Spore. The feet are so large they can easily decimate your army with a single step, but the boss moves so slowly that you should be able to stay clear of being stepped on. Unlike other Arachnorbs, the weak points are the feet. Each foot has its own health gauge to deplete, so you have to throw Pikmin on top of the feet to destroy each one, which is about as big as a whole Raging Long Legs, just to put this fight's scale in perspective. After you destroy a foot, it'll quickly solidify, meaning that the boss will have to slowly drag the foot instead of lifting it to move, rendering that foot harmless. The boss will fly into a short fury after you destroy each foot, but it will only last a couple of seconds because the foot that it has to move for the attack won't budge and the attack will stop. After all four feet are destroyed, the the Planetoid Long Legs will drop turret defenses and and the body will fall over and quickly wither.

The Planetoid Long Legs is the boss of the Dark Forest Cave, located at the end of the Forest Depths, in Pikmin: Sinister Incinerator. It is an enormous yellow arachnorb that guards the fifth Dark Spore. Due to its sheer size, the Planetoid Long Legs' entire body cannot be seen at once. Its feet are the main focus of the fight against it, and its main body can be seen when phase one of the battle comes to an end.

The body will then crack open like an egg, revealing a monstrous Cannon Beetle from within! This Cannon Beetle has four cannons though, and you have to plug each of them in a set amount of time or they'll all come undone. If you succeed, the top of the beetle chimera will explode like a volcano and the bizarre turret defenses will collapse. But one more thing jumped out of the explosion...

The arena the Planetoid Long Legs is fought in is an extremely large chamber, accomodating the creature's immense size. A majority of the floor is covered in water so shallow that any Pikmin can walk in it. The feet of the Planetoid Long Legs are so large that they can easily crush an entire army of Pikmin in one step, but the creature's absurdly slow walking speed makes avoiding this catastrophe easy. Unlike with other arachnorbs, where its main body is its weakpoint, the Planetoid Long Legs's weakpoints are its feet, and each one has a separate health wheel. Pikmin can be thrown onto the feet to deplete their individual health pools. When destroyed, a foot will become lame and the creature will be forced to slowly drag it along the ground, rendering it harmless. The Planetoid Long Legs will fly into a short frenzy and move faster when this happens, however, but its lame foot will cause the tantrum to end prematurely. After all four of its feet are incapacitated, the Planetoid Long Legs will lower its abdomen just above the ground, allowing it to be seen and opening it as if it had been defeated, releasing a creature contained within before rapidly deteriorating and disappearing like most other arachnorbs.

A giant lamp hopped out. As strange and unexpected as it is, this thing will kill you quickly if you don't act.
*It can stomp after you and hop on top of Pikmin using its base as a huge foot.
*It can intensify its vision for a short period of time, turning its head to set Pikmin in its gaze on fire.
*The end of its power cord is electric, and it sweeps the cord around to trip up Pikmin and zap them with the open end.
*It can aim with its head and slam down on top of a group of Pikmin, burning them at high intensity.

The Pikmin resistant to the burns are Red Pikmin, of course, and Yellow Pikmin can resist the zapping end. However, only Purple Pikmin are burly enough to damage its metallic hide. When it slams down its head to try and fry Pikmin, make sure that it misses and then smash the head in with Purple Pikmin. After the bulb falls out, the whole thing will shatter and explode. The bulb will then crack open, revealing the Dark Spore, and the huge room will fade out to a standard cave chamber with a geyser you can use to escape. It turns out the whole thing was just a hallucination produced by the Dark Spore.
Phase two begins with the Planetoid Long Legs dying after having dropped a peculiar creature into the arena. It resembles an Armored Cannon Beetle, but it has three blowholes instead of one and two mouths from which to fire boulders. Its eyes are also dull blue in color as opposed to glowing teal. Failing to clog all three blowholes at a time with Pikmin will result in the creature unclogging them harmlessly. Successfully clogging all three blowholes at once will cause the creature to briefly scuttle around in panic before exploding, leaving the fifth Dark Spore in its fiery wake. The arena will fade to reveal a standard cave chamber containing an escape geyser with which to escape, revealing the room to have been a mere hallucination created by the Dark Spore.
