- Peanut64 started his own project called the Taxonomy Project for Pikmin Fanon. It is an Animal classification project that further separates all the Canon enemies further than the Pikmin games show. This is a project to further classify the Enemines of both games. This system would be done by using the real system crafted by Carolus Linnaeus. Anyone can classify the Canon enemies, and when all of them are classified, we may allow Fanon enemies to be categorized.
Usage
The Canon enemies of Pikmin 1 and 2 will be divided into a simplified version of the groups:
Kingdom
Only two kingdoms are expected, Animalia and Plantae. Some exceptions can be made with things such as the Mitite species.
Phylum
The Phylum is the next smaller division. Its most common Phylum is expected to be Chordata. Chordata consists of fishes, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals.
Class
The class is the major division in the Animal Kingdom, and would start the making of Fanon Classes. The real classes in the Animalia Kingdom are so diverse that it is better to just make new Classes but keep only one class for each animal.
Order
We will skip Order for time management reasons. This is the hardest to classify. So DO NOT put the order in the Taxonomy orderings.
Family
The family is already listed, so this is an easy part.
Genus
This is another easy thing to order, because the Genus is basically the first word in the Scientific Name of the species.
Species
The species itself is the actual Enemy name, and is the Species the Boss name. This is already set for all of the Enemies.
Details
The Species, Family and Genus are already considered "Canon" and are classified already. All we have to do is list the Enemy into these categories. The Order is out of the question unless we have done all of the rest and feel like it. The Kingdom, Phylum, and Class are all going to be considered "Fanon" hence the reason Pikmin Fanon is the better place to do this Project on.
