The Piklone is a species of sporovid appearing in Pikmin: Spark. They possess the standard body shape of a Pikmin but are entirely black with a powdery complexion, signaling that they are made of dust, and have a white, wispy thread of mycelium for a stem. They are created by the Mushstool as a hostile counterpart of the Pikmin, with one Piklone created for every five Pikmin on the field and, when undisturbed, each defeated Piklone. Unlike Mushroom Pikmin, they are independent of their maker and don't require a normal Pikmin to be corrupted by spores to exist. They assist the Mushstool in battle, helping to defeat any creature in its territory. When Piklones defeat an enemy, they carry its body to the Mushstool for it to eat to regain health. Fortunately, Piklones are weak, especially to elemental hazards, which kill them instantly upon exposure.
In Ultra-Spicy Mode, rather than instantly dying, Piklones that are exposed to a hazard scatter in much the same way as inapt Pikmin. When this happens, the Mushstool recalls them to prevent them from dying or running too far away.

- “The best use of the dust they create is to press it into bricks for lighting fires. Otherwise, unsellable.”
