The Peckish Aristocrab is an onionshell that mainly rests in a motionless position, clacking its larger, crystalline pincers. It can detect a Pikmin's presence from afar and will quickly scuttle sideways onto their path when they come near, circling them in order to get in their way. This creature can react to the Pikmin in many ways, because there are three different ways it can defend itself, and two different ways it can kill Pikmin. When Pikmin are thrown at it, the creature is capable of maneuvering its massive claw to shield itself from the thrown Pikmin; it can also defend itself by blowing bubbles at attacking Pikmin, which can trap them and leaders inside. When Pikmin are charged at it, it stands up so they pass underneath it. It attacks by grasping multiple Pikmin with its claw and dropping them into its gaping mouth. It can also stab the ground with its claw to attack. Rock Pikmin can be used to destroy its larger pincers, disarming it and rendering it harmless except for its bubbles.

The Peckish Aristorcrab is a returning enemy appearing in Pikmin: Decayed Leaf. It retains its crystal-colored pincer, just like that of its Pikmin 3 incarnation. The crab is much faster and stronger, now acting as somewhat of a miniboss. The creature retains its usual attack of being able to swipe and eat Pikmin. It can also lift up its body if charged, promptly smashing it down to crush Pikmin underneath. Dart Pikmin thrown at the claw will get stuck in the crystal, doing major damage to it. If attacked, the Peckish Aristocrab will blow bubbles to trap Pikmin inside, though Weighted Pikmin and Cactus Pikmin cannot be caught in the bubbles. Aside from its usual attacks, it has two new ones. Its first is smashing its large claw into the dirt, rooting it there. If Pikmin are caught by this attack, they will be swiftly killed. Its other attack is expelling a torrent of water from its mouth, which can choke non-Blue Pikmin. Cactus Pikmin benefit from the water spat out. Peckish Aristocrabs rarely can be of a larger size than normal, and are found buried in the ground, only their eyestalks visible, and will pop out if walked over.

The Calcified Aristocrab is an onionshell appearing in Pikmin: Scavenge. It acts exactly like its Pikmin 3 counterpart but also spits up small crystal balls. Its claw is its structural flaw, as it can easily be destroyed with Rock Pikmin.

- “Mix shards of the crystal with natural sea salt using a mortar. The meat is similar to other aristocrabs, but it has more nutrients in it. Perfect for a diet you will never get sick of!”

- “The calcified aristocrab's stomach contains acids that help it make the crystals it shoots out of its mouth. The way it turns the acid into crystal is a mystery to me. I'm assuming that the acidity of the outer layer absorbs water which hardens inside its face cheeks. It is also confusing how it manages to support its heavy, crystal claw.”
