A battle against a Peach Bulborb can be challenging. Its extra body mass renders most attacks, such as those from Pikmin, leaders, or otherwise, less effective than usual. Its weight allows it to bury or crush Pikmin it steps on, and whether they are buried or crushed depends on if the ground under them is soft or hard. As described previously, Peach Bulborbs awaken when leaders or Pikmin enter their territory, making sneak attacks somewhat tricky to perform. Fortunately, Peach Bulborbs move slowly as a result of having weak legs that cannot support their weight well, but this also means that having enough Pikmin latched onto a Peach Bulborb at once will cause it to collapse, burying or crushing Pikmin underneath of it. The Peach Bulborb is a newly-discovered species of grub-dog. It is a fat bulborb with a pinkish coloration and red eyes. Peach Bulborbs normally wander an area in search of food, but will slowly lumber towards leaders and Pikmin it sees. It can eat up to six Pikmin at a time, but it takes three seconds for it to chew and swallow its meal. When it is walking, any Pikmin too close to it will be crushed by its feet and massive weight. Peach Bulborbs sometimes eat the corpses of dead creatures as well as pellets to replenish lost health. Usually, when reduced to half of its health, it will attempt to flee the battle to find the nearest food source.

Notes

Olimar's notes

"This is a rare species of bulborb, with increased levels of gluttony and slightly less powerful mandibles. It has a massive weight and is often found near a water source. It is one of the few bulborbs that isn't nocturnal, and it does not seem to establish a certain territory range, although it seems to display a dislike for Pikmin. It does not bear spots, but instead has a pinkish hide."

Louie's notes

"This is more fat than meat, but it compacts well with seasoning to make bulborb sausages. Also, the fat can be used for cushioning other kinds of meat during boiling or freezing."

President's notes

"This beast is a waste of money because of how much it eats."

Sagittarius's notes

"This creature will eat table scraps and any other edible waste. Best of all, it won't get have digestion problems thanks to its strong stomach acid. It's almost like a living trash can."

Libra's notes

"This beast's color and body fat make anyone wearing its hide look like a suntanned whale. Don't wear this unless you want to have harpoons thrown at you."

Peach Bulborbs in Pikmin X: Deep Freeze appear in the Woods of Occlusion; their thick fat is an adaptation to survive in the cold climate of the region. They appear in groups that follow the paths of the area's rivers. They are voracious and are still able to walk over Pikmin to kill them, but are also very slow and will not chase very far if their targets run away. Like other bulborbs, they can be stunned briefly by throwing Pikmin at their eyes. When shaking off Pikmin, they are scattered pretty far, so quickly call them back before the bulborb is able to squash them.

The Peach Bulborb is an obese grub-dog that appears in Pikmin: Wide World. It is found only in Frigid Tundra and its caves, and no dwarf counterpart of it is ever encountered. Peach Bulborbs can be seen sleeping, typically alone, but only from a far distance, as they wake up if they smell Pikmin or leaders in their territory. After waking up, a Peach Bulborb will struggle to its feet and slowly search its surrounding territory for them. If they leave its territory, a Peach Bulborb will waddle to a place near its original sleeping position and return to its slumber there. Peach Bulborbs drool frequently, but it poses no threat to Pikmin.

Peach Bulborbs are stout grub-dogs that jiggle with every heavy step. Other than their increased body weight, Peach Bulborbs resemble most other bulborbs. They have light skin, a peach-colored backside with white spots, and maroon eyes with white sclerae.

A battle against a Peach Bulborb can be challenging. Its extra body mass renders most attacks, such as those from Pikmin, leaders, or otherwise, less effective than usual. Even bomb rock explosions and hits from rocks inflict less damage, although they are still effective weapons. Upon defeat, a Peach Bulborb will yield HP Sparklium icon.png × 10. Underground, its carcass can be taken to the Lander Pod to either gain P3 Poko icon.png × 12 or be stored to receive twenty Pikmin seeds from the Master Onion, but only if the cave is exited using an escape geyser.

Notes

Olimar's notes

"This grub-dog's insatiable appetite has led it to become morbidly obese. Its fat insulates its body from the cold of the environments in which it thrives and also gives it additional protection from predators. It sleeps until it detects the faintest scent of prey, which will prompt it to stand up and begin searching its territory. Its sluggish gait is caused by its weak legs."

Shacho's notes

"Whenever talk of this creature happens, I always hear the others muttering to each other about me and chuckling. I always ask what's so funny, but they always say it's nothing. I can't possibly resemble the big blob this creature is!"

Marie's notes

"It isn't recommended to have one of these as a pet, purely because they eat so much. Unless you have enough food to keep it fed, don't look into adopting one. Peach bulborbs also willingly eat any edible waste they are given, making them somewhat useful for disposing of it."

Louie's notes

"Under all that fat is rich, savory meat. Trim away the fat, and fry in a pan until brown."

Dolphin Lander's notes

"The way its body jiggles as it moves around is cute. Peach bulborbs, I think, are really no different from people. Everyone loves food! Some even love food as much as the creatures themselves do."
