Numbered gates are obstacles that are metalic indestructible gates and having a dot-matrix display. By killing enemies, collecting objects or completing other tasks, the number on the display will decrease. Once the number reaches zero, the gate will lower.

Metal gates are obstacles in Pikmin 2... Again?. As indestructible metal gates usually buttons will lift or lower them. Another variant has a display which a amount of enemies have to be defeated, or other requiriments to it to open.
