The Moldy Breadbug is a Giant Breadbug with green mold spots on it and red eyes. It is located behind a body of water and electric gate in the Calm Plains in Pikmin: Corporate Combat. It shares its arena with three Territorial Breadbugs. They move around the arena, eating Pikmin. When you kill one of the Breadbugs, the Moldy Breadbug will eat the corpse, which heals 1/4 of its HP.
Notes
Olimar's Notes
This species of Breadbug searches out both live and dead prey, greedily devouring it. Its body has an amazing mechanism that allows it to heal injuries when eating large prey! The Moldy Breadbug, as its name implies, has distinctive fungal growths on its back.
Louie's Notes Inedible due to mold spores. Consumption may lead to dysentery, suffocation, cramps, nausea, vomiting, and disco dancing.
How to Kill
The Moldy Breadbug takes an agonizingly long time to kill due to its hide. The added annoyance of the other Breadbugs doesn't help. Or does it? When you kill one of the Breadbugs, the Moldy Breadbug will go right for it. If it eats it without interruption, it heals 1/4 of its health. But, if you strike it on its stomach while it rears up to eat the corpse, it will flip over, allowing you to inflict great damage. It is suggested you bring as much red, purple, and rock Pikmin to the arena. If all goes well, it will be killed on the 2nd or 3rd flip.
