The Miner Kroopus is a member of the kroopoid family that appears in Pikmin: Shadows of the Future. It greatly resembles its close relative, the Viridian Kroopus, in appearance, but is steel blue, has hooked tentacles, and has a drill on its head instead of a flower. It can be found either buried in the ground or clinging to the sides of surfaces with its tentacles and approaching the creature will prompt it to emerge or jump down. Afterward, it will jump into the air and blast itself toward Pikmin and leaders, making it a rather dangerous, difficult foe. When defeated, it makes a comical honking noise and falls to the ground, and begins the slow process of reviving itself.
