Areas Tropical Wilds, Garden of Hope, Distant Tundra, Twilight River, Formidable Oak

The Kingcap is a giant version of the Spotcap. It has a lot more durability, and occupies more space, but once cleared, opens up more significant space. Unlike the Spotcaps, Pikmin can latch on to it when thrown, and it has a health wheel.

Pikmin: Infection in Progress

Template:PIP Kingcaps return once again in Pikmin: Infection in Progress. Kingcaps appear rarely in the Polluted Twilight River, Rotting Oak, Toxic Wilds, and the Wilting Garden of Infection. An area in which Kingcaps appear infrequently are The Fungal Forest Navel. Due to the plague spreading across the Distant Planet, mushrooms have spread immensely, especially underground. Destroying a Kingcap will make it tip over in a predetermined direction and fall, decaying quickly afterword.
