The Heatwave Hoppmoth is an averaged-sized hoppmoth that appears in the Castaway Mode DLC of Pikmin E: Remastered. It appears with attributes of both a moth and a grasshopper, colored mostly a clay-like color with bright red highlights. They are normally only encountered in hives. Upon seeing any Pikmin or leaders, they will charge at them quickly. While charging, due to the contrasting temperatures, it will burst into flames, burning any Pikmin it comes into contact with. Upon stopping movement, it will remain idle for a few moments, being slightly weakened by bursting into flames, providing a chance to attack. Once it dies, it will expend all of the heat within it at once, lighting it and any surrounding plants or Pikmin on fire. A larger variant known as the Hellfire Hoppmoth appears in the Hellish Hollow, and serves as the boss of multiple floors.
