The Giant Honeywisp is a creation of the King Progg. It is not an actual Honeywisp, just a robot modeled after one. It is the second boss in Pikmin 3: The Progg Wars.
Combat
The ginormous Honeywisp will swoop down Onto your Pikmin to knock them into acid. They will also use the robotic orb on the bottom to scoop up acid and then drop the orb on you. When it drops the orb, its rocket jet that lets it fly will be revealed. Throw a couple Pikmin into it to force it to the ground and you can attack it.
