Olimar's Ship can dispatch its nosecone, which is known as the Freight Pod. At the beginning of Pikmin: Stranded Exploration, Olimar's ship is attacked by nocturnal predators, and Olimar is forced to get in the Freight Pod and escape while the beasts tear his ship to pieces. The Freight Pod can collect treasures and store enemies with its clamp along with many upgrades that it can create once a certain treasure has been collected.
Trivia
The Freight Pod is very similar to the Research Pod, because they can salvage treasures, they speak, and they are the nosecones for their ships.
