Ardió is the Fiery Blowlet that appears in Pikmin: Antarctic Survival.

Ardió is a small Fiery Blowlet runt who is paranoid and scared of nearly everything. Ardió was taught by his father since he was born that the Antarctic is a perilous and unsafe place where creatures who are not constantly vigilant will be eaten. This constant looming danger has left Ardió terrified of almost every creature in the Antarctic besides his father.

If Ardió is attacked by any creature or feels like he is about to be attacked, he will bury himself completely in the snow with only his snout sticking out, and shoot fire at any creatures that approach to potentially attack him. In this state, Ardió is actually quite difficult to fight against due to taking cover under the snow and defending himself with fire attacks. Though Ardió can defend himself somewhat in this state, the reason Ardió hides himself like this is not to win a fight, but instead to avoid one completely, as most creatures lose track of Ardió and move on when he hides in the snow. Ardió uses this combat tactic both prior to his Awakening and after it, and he was taught to do so by his father.

Ardió was separated from his father and became lost when they were both affected by the confusing properties of the tyrant of the Ruins of Awakening. During the events of Pikmin: Antarctic Survival, Ardió has spent all his time since being separated terrified and looking for his father, but has not been able to find him. He ends up finding an exploration team from the Diamond Settlement instead, and becoming Awakened by them. If both Ardió and his father are Awakened, the two of them can be reunited.

Ardió's name is drawn from the Spanish for "burned", relating to his fire element.
