An Eyevine is an enemy that has so far only appeared in the game Pikmin: The After Years and Pikspore. They are intricately colored one-eyed plants that block the holes to geysers and holes to delve deeper into the cave. They are teal and yellow with a red and black pupil. Though they don't attack Pikmin they can be nuisances.
How to Kill
The only way to kill it is to attack its eye. When you get close to it, it'll shut its eye, meaning that you can't attack it. Luckily, a new item called Chestnuts will kill it when its eye is open. They resemble the giant spiked nuts found in the Forbidden Woods in the game The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. It will instantly kill it and instead of it dying in the ground, it will disappear into Dark Matter.
Trivia
- These are one of the many enemies influenced by Dark Matter.
- These enemies are based off the vines that block entrances/doors to other areas in the Forbidden Woods in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.
Pikspore
In Pikspore they're a bit different from their After Years versions. For instance, these have more tentacles, teeth and are greener. They're also more aggressive, swatting Pikmin away and crushing them. Because chestnuts don't exist in this game, you must attack the throbbing organ on its back, but watch out, because after a while it will ooze red liquid from this organ that covers your Pikmin's heads, suffocating them. When killed, it will writhe around and melt into a red, bubbly foam.
