The Equine Culinid is a large mosquito-like creature that uses its haustellum to suck up nectar, sprays, and Pikmin, and as it does so, it will progressively fill up its abdomen. Eventually, it will gorge itself so much it can no longer fly and must then gallop or trot. Sometimes, the Equine Culinid will walk into a body of water and lay an egg raft that will eventually hatch into Equine Larvae. The Equine Culinid will suck out the nectar of any eggs it passes by and will either replace it with four to five Ujadani or leave it empty. Its abdomen and eyes are the only parts soft enough to be attacked by Pikmin, as the rest of its body is covered in a hard shell similar to the Armored Cannon Beetle.
