The Eggshell Hoppmoth is a hoppmoth that appears in the Castaway Mode DLC of Pikmin E: Remastered. It is a large creature, with the attributes of both a moth and a grasshopper. It is usually docile, disguising itself as a large egg to lure in its prey. However, once approached, it brings down its wings, and reveals itself, flying around and screeching loudly in order to summon Screeching Hoppmoths. As it flies around, it may occasionally drop to the ground, crushing any Pikmin it lands on, and will target the nearest leader. Upon targeting, it will jab out its scythe-like front limbs into their squad of Pikmin, impaling and eating any they grab.
