Earth is a hazard that appears in fan-made Pikmin games. It has a variety of forms, and a variety of effects, which are usually lethal, although some are entirely harmless. Brown Pikmin and Tan Pikmin are only two examples of Pikmin that are resistant to earth hazards. Clouds of dirt or sand are some of the most common forms of the hazard of earth, and they choke any inapt Pikmin that walk into them. The end of their stem will be engulfed by it, and they will collapse and perish if not whistled in time. Crystal is not harmful on its own, and can be destroyed using Rock Pikmin, although crystal nodules may be weaponized by some enemies. Boulders are large rocks that are utilized by enemies to crush Pikmin, but they may also fall from the ceilings of some caves for a variety of reasons. Additionally, in some games, boulders may be found sitting around, out in the open. Mud is usually not dangerous, only slowing Pikmin and leaders that touch it or tread through it, although in some games it may threaten the lives of Pikmin that make contact with it. Quicksand is somewhat similar to mud, slowing down anything that walks into it but also pulling them downwards, sealing their fate if they are not quick to escape. Lastly, shockwaves knock back Pikmin and leaders, and depending on the game, may stun them or deflower Pikmin.

Earth in Pikmin: Wide World is a very common hazard that applies mostly to many obstacles, and even more enemies. No particular Pikmin type is resistant to earth, but Rock Pikmin and Purple Pikmin have notable usefulness in taking care of earth-related enemies and obstacles, each for different reasons. Rock Pikmin can destroy crystalline or glass substances and are also resistant to blunt force, and Purple Pikmin can use their immense weight to pound on an object or enemy, often with terrific results. Burrowing Snagmin are the only Pikmin type that is able to burrow through the ground.
Sand is a hazard in Pikmin 2... Again?. It is found not only in deserts but in other areas and is used by some enemies. It can also be in the form of sandstorms. However, Pikmin hit by particles of it in a sandstorm will be blinded and cover their eyes, during which they will walk aimlessly while they struggle to get the sound out of their eyes, and whistling only prevents them from wandering away while they work to recover. Claw Pikmin and Glow Pikmin are immune to sand and quicksand. Sand can even affect leaders, obscuring their vision with sand particles, which can be removed by moving. Sandstorms obscue their vision far less than regular sand, however.

Earth is seen in several forms, which are dirt, sand, crystal, and mud. While many enemies exhibit the ability to burrow into or out of the ground, only a few actually utilize earth to defend themselves. Additionally, some larger enemies have a chance to cause one or more boulders to fall from the cave ceiling upon colliding with a wall hard enough, even if they don't directly utilize earth. Some larger enemies, namely more mobile ones, are capable of jumping and producing shockwaves when they land that propel Pikmin and leaders in the opposite direction. Some enemies possess crystalline armor.

Earth is a hazard that appears as particles of dirt or sand. Inapt Pikmin that are exposed to it will begin to choke, their stem engulfed by the particles, and will eventually suffocate to death if not saved. If not, they are usually blinded, typically resulting in panic.

Sand is a hazard in Pikmin 2... Again?. It is found not only in deserts but in other areas and is used by some enemies. It can also be in the form of sandstorms. In its basic form, Pikmin exposed to sand will get sand particles on their stem, panicking and scattering as a result, and will eventually suffocate and die if not whistled soon enough.
