The Dropping Beetle family includes beetle-like (mostly like Bombardier Beetles) creatures, most of them drop something behind when agitated.

The Leafwing Beetle is a beetle-like creature with leaf-like wings and a abdomen which it uses to drop seeds behind when attacked and fleeing at the same time, the seeds then thrust out of the ground after some seconds into a Thorn Stalk impaling and killing hit Pikmin.
