The Diamond Beetle is an extremely rare flint beetle featured in Pikmin: Connection of the Worlds. It has a one in one hundred twenty-eight chance of appearing in place of another flint beetle and is as evasive as it is elusive. It moves at twice the speed of an Iridescent Flint Beetle, rarely pauses in place, and even then briefly does so, and remains above ground for half the time. Landing Pikmin on top of it makes tumble forward and release valuable rewards such as ten doses of nectar, then one 10-pellet when aboveground or five random sprays when underground, and lastly one 20-pellet when aboveground or five more sprays when underground. After running around long enough or being hit three times, it burrows underground, never to be seen again.
