Details

These creatures are found in the most variety of environments. They, unlike their regular Dwarf Bulborb counterparts, are actually not mimicking a breadbug species. They have been infected by a DeathSpike Fragment. Thus they are an entirely new species.

Appearance

They have purplish skin where the red used to be and there is green now where the peach was. They have spikes popping up from where the three little spots are and there is also green spikes on the eyes. The toes are much more like spikes.

Attacking Strategy(s)

The easiest way to kill them is to throw a Spike Pikmin on to their fragile spines. Another way is to swarm with regular Pikmin, which will not be affected by the spikes on its body because the Pikmin are attacking the soft underbelly.

Captain Notes

Olimar's notes: "This atrocious creature is hard to kill at first if you have no spike pikmin with you. It is an amazing biological infection. The poor beasts have a way of shrieking when impaled by a DeathSpike Fragment and when they do, that will make other Dwarf Bulborbs come to it and then those ones will get infected too, therefore the best strategy with these creatures is to kill one instantly. That will both stop it from suffering from the painful infection and from it calling others and lessening the chances of an epidemic of DeathSpiked Dwarf Bulborbs in the area. We may find a cure eventually, but this is the best we can do for now --Olimar."

Louie's Notes: "Remove Spikes and put a thin sauce of Mr. Olimar's Sauce on to have a delicious appetizer. Small chance of infection."
